VIPS are needed for the Rogers Book Fair February 15-18 2022. Click link to sign up for a shift.BOOK FAIR VIPS NEEDED TODAY FRIDAY 2/11 4-5 PM FOR SET-UP AND NEXT WEEK Tuesday February 15th-Friday February 18th The book fair is in need of 2 VIPS later this afternoon for set-up and again each morning and afternoon next week (9 VIPS shifts total). The Book Fair will be held on campus for all students in the school library.

The committee is also still in need of a few volunteers to make this fun(draiser) event a success! Can you help with any of the following?

  • Mustang Drive activities coordinator

Join the Rogers PTA Board image for social websitePTA Elections Scheduled for March 22nd | Board Positions Available for 2022-23 Interested in joining the Rogers PTA Executive Board next year? If so, please review a full list of positions and descriptions and download an interest form to complete (all linked here). Please scan and email all completed forms to the Nominating Committee’s attention at rogersmiddleschoolpta@gmail.com (Subject: PTA Board 2022-23, attention Nominating Committee).

Primarily, the 22-23 Board is seeking interest in the following positions:

  • Treasurer (manages financial accounts, budgets, and other financial matters; required to continue as an active PTA Unit)
  • Recording Secretary (Takes and records minutes of each meeting; required to continue as an active PTA Unit)
  • Corresponding Secretary (prepares Rogers PTA correspondence and communications, including via email, newsletters, website, and social media)

MEETING AND ELECTIONS NOTICE |  Elections for next year’s Board will be scheduled for the next General Association meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd. Watch this space for more details as the date approaches.


image says "Apply now!" with LBUSD logo and VIPS volunteers in public schools logoVIPS | APPLY NOW! If you are interested in becoming a VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) for Rogers Middle School and you no longer have an active VIPS badge for our school site (it has expired), only have a badge for another site (previous elementary, etc.), or never have been processed as a VIPS with LBUSD, please email Karina Vasquez in the school’s front office at kvasquez@lbschools.net to start the application process.

Please note that only current Rogers VIPS will be able to help with on campus school day events (this includes the Mustang Drive fundraiser). For this reason, it is important for those interested to start the application process as soon as possible as VIPS applications may take several weeks to process and finalize. Horse head shot clipart image w a mortar board graduation hat8th Grade Committee UPDATE The end-of-year celebration for all Rogers 8th Graders is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14th from 6-9 p.m. at CSULB. A flyer is scheduled to come home with all 8th graders very soon explaining the event along with how you can help to support the effort!

Want to help with planning or just learn what’s happening so far? THE NEXT 8TH GRADE COMMITTEE MEETING IS SET FOR WED. MARCH 2ND 6:30-7:30 VIA ZOOM (email Danielle for ZOOM link as date approaches)! 

Specific areas in need of volunteers are as follows

  • Food & drinks
  • Candy Bar
  • Photo Booth
  • Decorations
  • Entertainment (DJ/other)
  • Advertising/ Social Media
