Rogers PTA Teacher of the Year and Service Awards This week, Rogers PTA held its final meeting of the year, and the Board was honored to recognize a few of people who make it all possible.
Your Rogers PTA 2021-22 Teacher of the Year is none other than Mr. Timothy Ching! He is pictured here with the two students who nominated him, who also read their kind words during the meeting. PTA wishes Mr. Ching all the best as he departs Rogers at the end of this school year after 41 years of teaching PE to generations of Long Beach students.
The Board also officially acknowledged Principal Jeff Wood with a fond farewell to honor his four years of service here at Rogers. He will be departing at the end of this school year for his new Principal position with Robinson K8 starting later this summer.
Three departing 8th grade parents, Danielle Van Divort, Kristen Pincherli, and Ella Hall were also recognized fondly for their many years of volunteering at Rogers in a variety of Board, Committee, and other key supporting positions in service to our students, families, teachers, and staff.
Rogers PTA thanks all of these individuals for their collective years of service, dedication, and effort into making our collective Mustang experience memorable. And remember… once a Mustang always a Mustang!
