The Big Event for our 2016 Mustang Drive is coming up on December 5. If your child has raised at least $60, and would like to attend the Big Event, please be sure to download and sign the waiver below.

All waivers are due by Friday, December 2.

Join us and support Rogers Middle School’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Rogers PTA and ASB need to raise $70,000 to finance our student programs and improvements – Chromebooks for students, field trips, eco-friendly cold water fountains, and more! 100% of the proceeds go directly to the school!

Through fun incentives – treats and great prizes, plus a big finale event on December 5 – our kids are encouraged to raise money to help their school. If every Rogers student raised $120, we will meet our goal!

The Mustang Drive is Rogers’ biggest fundraiser of the year. Like a jog-a-thon, students collect donations to earn entry into our finale event on Monday, December 5. Students can win cash, prizes, and challenge themselves ion a variety of interactive obstacle courses and adventurous pursuits. A Student sho raises $60 or more can participate. Together we need to raise at least $70,000 to fund our Rogers PTA and ASB Programs for the year – more classroom Chrome books, water bottle friendly cold water fountains, field trips, and more! With this year’s pledge fundraiser, 100% of what we raise stays at Rogers!


Roadmap to Success

  1. Sign up with PledgeStar and send 5 emails by Tuesday, November 8 and have a Krispy Kreme doughnut delivered to Advisory on Thursday, November 10.
  2. Send another 5 emails by Tuesday, November 15, and a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf hot cocoa will be delivered Friday, November 18.
  3. Send an additional 5 email by Tuesday, November 29, and you’ll have a Jamba Juice smoothie delivered on Friday, December 2.
  4. Raise $60 or more by Thursday, December 1, and earn entry into the finale event on Monday, December 5.

PE Uniforms & Mustang Sweatshirts On Sale Now

PE Uniforms & Rogers Mustangs Sweatshirts (new design!) will be sold on Thursday, September 1 from 3:15-4:00 PM and Friday, September 2 from 8:15-9:00 AM. Purchases on those two dates can be made using cash, check made out to Rogers PTA or credit card. We will be set up on campus outside between the main building and the gym. After September 2, PE uniforms and sweatshirts will be for sale in the front office. Purchases in the office can be made using cash or check made out to Rogers PTA.

Why join Rogers Middle School PTA?

Your membership dues support classroom and curriculum enhancements no longer provided by LBUSD

Over the last 2 years, PTA has financed:

  • Seven sets of Chromebooks for classrooms
  • Overhead projectors for every classroom
  • New PE equipment
  • Ceiling fans for the main building classrooms
  • Grade level field trips and fun activity days are supported through your dues
  • For the 2016-2017 school year, the goal is to continue purchasing Chromebooks for classrooms

  • Means to stay informed about school happenings through our weekly emails
  • Ability to meet other parents and staff at meetings and other PTA-sponsored activities
  • The opportunity to hear informative, parent-focused speakers at monthly PTA meetings
  • Without obligation to attend meetings or volunteer, joining PTA shows your child you are interested in their school and you support the largest student and education-centered advocacy group in the country.

 

Great Incentives for Joining! For all memberships received by September 30 (while supplies last)…

  • Each PTA member will receive a buy one cone/get one Baskin Robbins certificate.
  • Each PTA member will receive a youth ticket to the Aquarium of the Pacific, access to a youth ticket to Legoland and additional family discounts, and access to discount tickets to the California Science Center.
  • Every student who becomes a member will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card to Target.
  • Every student who signs up 4 or more memberships will be entered into a raffle to win a “Front of the Line Pass” to be used at lunch and Activity Days (good for the entire year!).
  • The Advisory Class with the highest percentage of memberships will receive a pizza party at lunch.
  • And last but not least….Every 8th grader who joins will be entered in a drawing for 6 reserved, front-row seats at the Promotion Ceremony!

 

Who Should Join Rogers PTA?

Sign up your student, yourself, your spouse, grandparents, neighbors, coaches… anyone can join!

Last year our PTA was 909 members strong, and this year our goal is 1000 members. The larger our membership, the louder our voice will be heard on a local level, as well as by state and national legislators.

 

How to join?

It’s easy!  Using your credit card or bank account, provide your contact information and pay online now (please include an email address as this is our best form of communication with you). Student and alumni memberships are $5. Adult memberships are $10 each.

Nearly 60% of your membership dues go directly into the Roger’s PTA Budget to fund the upcoming school year. The remainder goes to support the work of the Local, District, California and National PTA’s, all in support of students and education.
