Next week, September 19-22, all Rogers students will take the i-Ready Diagnostic Assessment with their 1st period class. We will be on a special testing block schedule, so they will have a dedicated uninterrupted time to take the diagnostic in both ELA and Math. This information will provide a baseline for what they already know and what they will need to learn this coming year. This is important information for our school to ensure we provide proper interventions and differentiation to meet the needs of all our students. Please make sure your child is prepared for next week by arriving ON TIME, bringing their own wired-headphones/earbuds, getting plenty of sleep, eating breakfast, bringing a snack to eat afterwards (water is allowed) and encouraging your child to do their best.  Please remind them that it is only a diagnostic and they do not have to know all the answers.

Start time and dismissal time remain the same, so drop-off and pick-up are not affected. Here is the daily bell schedule for reference iReady Bell Schedule

President’s Message – Welcome!

Welcome, Mustangs!

We are delighted to welcome back our Mustang family for a year full of fun, friendships and learning! To our new Mustangs – a special welcome to our Mustang Family!

My name is Leeanna Izuel. I am the mom of an incoming 8th grader, and am returning this year for a second term as the Rogers PTA president. Together with the rest of the Rogers Board, I am excited to help plan a year full of great experiences for our Rogers students and families and a fantastic final year for our 8th graders!

I encourage every Rogers family to join the Rogers PTA. You can join the PTA on Totem, an online membership sign up portal (sign up here), or sign up in person at Rogers at TCB days, August 23-25. Your membership dues and donations help fund important programs at Rogers, such as WEB, field trips, student clubs and activities, technology, enrichment and educational programs, teacher wish lists, and more.

All are welcome at Rogers PTA meetings! PTA meetings are an excellent source of information about what is going on at Rogers now and what is planned for the future. Your vote and your voice help the PTA decide on important funding and programming priorities.

The 2022-23 PTA meetings will be:

  • September 29 — in person at Rogers right after Back to School Night
  • November 17
  • January 26
  • March 23
  • May 25

The Rogers PTA needs your help, and has both big and small opportunities for you to help out as a chair, committee member, or general volunteer. Check out the opportunities listed at the Sign-Up Genius (here -> Rogers PTA 2022-23 Sign-Up Genius Link) and find out what works for your family.

To keep up-to-date on what is going on, remember to sign up for our weekly PTA email newsletters here and follow us on Instagram and Facebook!
Go Mustangs!
