Food/ Snack Donations Needed NEXT WEEK for Field Day! Rogers students have a special Field Activity Day coming up on Friday February 11th … and Student Council needs your help!
Please use this Sign-Up Genius Link if you are able to sign up for and bring any of the following items (we will need your name and what you intend to bring with your sign-up please):
- bags of individually wrapped candy
- cupcakes (“store bakery” prepared/packaged)
- 4 cans of whipped cream
- 3 bags of Cuties – or similar small oranges
- 4 boxes/containers of store-packaged chocolate chip cookies (Chips Ahoy works great!)
Items need to be brought into the office by no later than 3:30 p.m. Thursday February 10th.
BOOK FAIR VIPS NEEDED! | Book Fair Tuesday February 15th-Friday February 18th The book fair is in need of 2 VIPS each morning and afternoon during the upcoming Book Fair (8 VIPS shifts total). Mustang Drive UPDATE | The Mustang Drive is back and the event date is set for THURSDAY APRIL 14TH (day before Spring Break)!
Yesterday was the first planning meeting, which will be a standing, weekly meet-up via ZOOM Thursdays at 5 p.m. up through to the day-of the event. To get the ZOOM link please see contact info below for Chair Mary Loos.
The committee is also still in need of a few volunteers to make this fun(draiser) event a success! Can you help with any of the following?
- Prize coordinators/ solicitors
- Liaison(s) with teachers and volunteers and to coordinate the day-of Mustang Drive activities
- General at-large members, and day of volunteers
- Social media/communications (content creation, graphics and text; work with Corresponding Secretary on timing of scheduling-placing posts on social media and website)
- Pledgestar coordinator
PTA Elections Scheduled for March 22nd | Board Positions Available for 2022-23 Interested in joining the Rogers PTA Executive Board next year? MEETING AND ELECTIONS NOTICE | Elections for next year’s Board will be scheduled for the next General Association meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd.
Please note that only current Rogers VIPS will be able to help with on campus school day events (this includes the Mustang Drive fundraiser). For this reason, it is important for those interested to start the application process as soon as possible as VIPS applications may take several weeks to process and finalize. HELP WANTED NOW! Rogers PTA Board and Committee Chairs/Members Are you interested in jumping in and helping out with Rogers PTA for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year? It’s not too late!

- Social Media Content Creator (work with Corresponding Secretary now through year-end on creating graphic and textual content for special events such as Mustang Drive and 8th Grade activities in Spring Semester, with potential to stay on as Corresponding Secretary for 2022-23, reach out to Kristen Pincherli at rogersmiddleschoolpta@gmail.com for all details; subject “Social Media Content Help”)
- Parent Education chair (year-round programming)
8th Grade Committee | VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! The end-of-year celebration for all Rogers 8th Graders is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14th from 6-9 p.m. at CSULB. Specific areas in need of volunteers are as follows: Food & drinks; Candy Bar; Photo Booth; Decorations; Entertainment (DJ/other); and Advertising/Social Media. The next meeting is anticipated for early March. Any 8th Grade parent or guardian interested in helping in one or more of these areas or attending the next meeting to hear what is being planned should please email Danielle Van Divort at deesteinberg@yahoo.com (Subject: Rogers 8th Grade event; please include contact info and student name in your email to make sure you are added to the contact list!)
