Please note this is the meeting where the Nomination Committee will be formed to create a slate of Board Officers for our 2021-22 election to be held later this Spring. Please note that per by-laws, in order to participate in the Nomination Committee or to vote, you will need to join PTA as a member (only $10 online here – more info below also!). WANTED: PTA Board Members and Chairperson PTA currently has two Board positions available, VP Ways and Means (Fundraising) and Community Outreach Director (handles Appian Way banner sales and other business partnership opportunities). Uniforms Committee Chairperson (sweatshirts and PE uniforms) is also needed. These positions are open and ready NOW for people who are wanting to jump right in and get involved with Rogers PTA! More information on these positions can be found at our Board web page and our Volunteers-Committees page. SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS STARTING IN 2021 Parents should have received a letter from LBUSD (Letter to MS/K8 Parents) prior to Winter Break with upcoming Middle School schedule adjustments as an effort to help reduce screen time for our students, and Principal Wood also re-sent the letter along with additional follow-up in an email to all parents dated 1/2/2021. REMINDER: Wednesday 1/27 will be an asynchronous day, and starting in February, each Wednesday and Thursday will be minimum days (first Min. Days scheduled for Wed.-Thurs. 2/3 and 2/4, dismissal 2:18 p.m.). The upcoming asynchronous day will be used to provide teachers with professional development and assessment analysis to inform future instruction and to provide student feedback. More information will also be sent out again just before each assigned day directly from the school so be sure to check your email.


Rogers Dining for Dollars Hiatus & Highlights | UPDATED FOR JANUARY While Rogers PTA has suspended its Dining for Dollars partnership fundraising program at this time, PTA would still would like to help spread the word about local business and community by featuring a business who has partnered with us in the past! Watch this space each issue of PTA news for this month’s highlighted partner. For January, we would like to feature Raising Cane’s (Traffic Circle location)Thank you to Raising Cane’s for being such a loyal Rogers PTA partner!
