PTA Membership Drive Online membership is always open and available at TOTEM, a new way this year to get your memberships in a contact-free, safe, convenient, and fast transaction! PTA Reflections DUE TODAY FRIDAY 10/16! All students are welcome to participate! PTA offers this annual contest to all students interested in creating and competing at the school level, which can lead to other opportunities at the Council, State, and even National levels!

LBUSD Meal Service Changes To improve services and support the needs of families, the Long Beach Unified School District will make changes to its meal distribution effective this Monday, 10/19. Students and parents/guardians will pick up two days’ worth of meals on alternate days instead of making the daily trips:
- Monday’s pick-up includes meals for Monday and Tuesday.
- Wednesday’s pick up is for Wednesday and Thursday.
- Friday and Saturday’s meals are available for pick-up on Friday.
Please Note: Rogers remains a designated meal site. For more information, please go to the LBUSD website.
Rogers Teachers’ Training Day Wednesday 10/21 Another Teachers’ Training Day is coming up next week. Please keep an eye on school communications, school website, and the student bulletin for more details and updates.
WANTED: PTA Board Members and Chairperson PTA currently has two Board positions available, VP Ways and Means (Fundraising) and Community Outreach Director (handles Appian Way banner sales and other business partnership opportunities). Uniforms Committee Chairperson (sweatshirts and PE uniforms) is also needed. These positions are open and ready NOW for people who are wanting to jump right in and get involved with Rogers PTA! Rogers Dining for Dollars Hiatus & Highlights While Rogers PTA has suspended its Dining for Dollars partnership fundraising program at this time, PTA would still would like to help spread the word about local business and community by featuring a business who has partnered with us in the past! Watch this space each issue of PTA news for this month’s highlighted partner. For October, we would like to feature George’s Greek Cafe (2nd Street). Thank you to George’s Greek Cafe for always being such a loyal Rogers PTA partner!
