Friday 1 December
WE DID IT!
Congratulations to all the students, parents, and Rogers Family – you totally crushed the Mustang Drive!! We ended up raising more than $70,000 in total! Because we hit our $60k benchmark, we’ll be having a BMX show early next year for the entire school.
MUSTANG DRIVE DAY – Friday December 8 during school
Our Mustang Drive Day of Awesomeness will be a party, complete with a DJ, obstacle course, games … and the Splash Tank, where students who’ve qualified (by raising money) can get their favorite teacher/principal wet. And because we’ve met our goal, EVERYONE IS INVITED! Yep, that’s right, even if you didn’t raise money for the school, your child is invited to Mustang Drive Day. You must, however, fill out and complete a permission slip to have your child participate. No exceptions.
T-Shirts and bracelets will be distributed next week to students who’ve qualified for them.
Next week we have California Pizza Kitchen on tap. Pizza pizza!
Friday 17 November
We are hitting some incredible records with this year’s Mustang Drive! For the hundreds and hundreds of students and families participating…THANK YOU!!!
But don’t worry if you still have not gotten around. It’s NOT too late! Your Mustang still has time to participate just by sending out 10 emails to family and friends, or raise $50…This qualifies them for:
- The Day of Awesomeness with a field day inspired by American Ninja Warrior.
- Splash a Teacher (or Principal)
- A Tootsie Roll Bank with one (1) $100 cash prize up for grabs.
- A Mustang Drive T-Shirt
- A DJ Dance Party and more!
Plus the more your raise, the more your child’s individual prize-levels go up! All donation collections ends on Monday, November 27th. Don’t let your child miss out on all the fun at the Day of Awesomeness. Click here for the Step It Up signup.
Dining For Dollars returns to Noble Bird this Saturday. Start out your Thanksgiving holiday with the other bird and support your school
Turkey Trot happened Thursday the 18th and was run during school in PE class. Winners of each grade received a turkey, and class winners received pumpkin pie. It was a glorious return of a Rogers tradition that has been dormant for a few years, but will certainly will return to an ongoing tradition.
Wondering what to do with your loose change? The PTA supports Rogers’ Wellness Center, a safe place for students to feed their inner beings. We’ve donated a table and furniture, and provided goodies for the kids to enjoy. They’re having a holiday Coin Drive. Lighten your purse and support LBUSD’s neediest!
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
