Rogers Presents… JEOPARDY! Finals Thursday, January 30th

This… is… JEOPARDY!

On Thursday, January 30th, Rogers Middle School presents “Rogers FINAL Jeopardy”!

Championship game times and finalists by grade level are as follows:
9:25am – 6th-Grade – Benjamin J., Annika H., and Maxwell Z.
10:30am – 7th-Grade – Sarah M., Evelyn M., and Luke D.
12:25pm – 8th-Grade – Will M., Ethan C., and Hannah R.
2:55pm – All-School Championship Game (the 3 Grade-level Champions compete!)

Big congratulations to these students for making the Finals and to all other students who competed this week – find a complete list in this week’s school bulletin online here!

Rogers’ families are welcome to attend (please check in at office first) – guests also are invited to wear purple to show their support of Alex Trebek & Pancreatic Cancer Awareness! 💜

PTA General Association Meeting TUESDAY NIGHT 1/21 at 7 p.m.

The next RMS General Association PTA Meeting is scheduled for this Tuesday evening, January 21, at 7 p.m. in the library.

Please check in at the school office for a visitor’s pass, then head up to the library. This meeting will include a discussion about the 2020-2021 Executive Board election coming up in March. We hope you can join us! For more information on the different positions on our Board, please go here.

Rogers Community Night at CSULB Men’s Basketball Saturday 1/4!

Plan to join fellow Mustangs at an upcoming Rogers Community Night at the Long Beach State Men’s Basketball Game Saturday, January 4th at 4:30 p.m.! Tickets are $10/each with $4 of each ticket going right back to Rogers’ funded programming!

Rogers’ Giving Tree and Rescue Mission Now Collecting for the Holidays

Rogers Rescue Mission is the school’s annual charity drive. The school is collecting donations now through Wednesday, December 18th for Food Finders, the shower program at St. Luke’s, and – in collaboration with the Green Team – His Little Feet.Rogers Rescue Mission 2019 items are due to school by no later than Wednesday December 18. Turn in items in Advisory or to Rm. 1201 before school.

Rogers Giving Tree 2019 is open in the school office. Donate gift cards toward families in need this holiday season by Friday December 13. See School Loop for all details or check with the office.Rogers Giving Tree 2019 | Rogers is also adopting several families this season who could use some support. The office is collecting gift cards from a variety of stores and businesses. Any donations are greatly appreciated!  Please see Ms. Rene in the main office for drop off of gift cards or more details on this specific program. All Gift Cards are due by Friday 12/13.

Please note, no one is required to bring any items, but all donations are highly appreciated. This is an opportunity to spread holiday cheer. All items will be collected from advisory class, except please drop gift cards directly to the office. Donations for Food Finders, St. Luke’s shower program, and His Little Feet may also be dropped off in room 1201 before school. Student Council will be calculating Advisory Points for donations.

Book Fair Ends TOMORROW Friday 12/6 After Lunchtime!

Rogers hosts the Scholastic Book Fair all this week in the school library from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (open during lunchtime). The last day for the fair is TOMORROW Friday 12/6.

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE: Book Fair will close on Friday 12/6 after lunchtime!Scholastic Book Fair comes to the Rogers' Library from Monday December 2 through Friday December 6. Open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parents are welcome to stop by anytime during the hours posted to shop. Please check in at the office first.

Our school’s Book Fair is a great place to support your child’s own love of reading and stock up on holiday gifts, all while raising money for our school at the same time!
